Deleon Villas Groundbreaking Marks Major Milestone for St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity
St. Lucie, FL – July 27, 2023 – St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity proudly announces the successful groundbreaking of Deleon Villas, a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to provide affordable housing solutions. On Thursday, July 27th, at 9:00 am, we gathered with esteemed speakers, dedicated volunteers, and community supporters to celebrate this momentous occasion.
St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity, an organization dedicated to putting God’s love into action, brings together individuals to build homes, communities, and hope. Our commitment to affordable housing empowers families and individuals, enabling them to achieve the dream of homeownership.
The Deleon Villas project embodies the values of dedication, hard work, and personal investment. Future homeowners actively participated in constructing their homes alongside our dedicated volunteers, staff, and community partners. This collaborative effort instills a sense of pride and accomplishment and ensures that each home is built with love and care.
We were honored to have esteemed speakers, including Bob Calhoun, Habitat Executive Director, Terrye Branch, St Lucie Habitat Board President, Vincent Crenshaw, Habitat Board Member, Linda Bartz, St. Lucie County Commissioner Vice-Chair, and Diana Wesloski, Director of Community Services for St. Lucie County shared inspiring remarks during the groundbreaking ceremony. Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration and community support in creating lasting change.
